"An open-air cemetery": in Nice, the Promenade des Anglais caught in the spiral of road deaths

The collision was of unprecedented violence. Monday evening, shortly before 10:30 p.m., at 497 Promenade des Anglais, a motorcyclist collided head-on with a young man on a bicycle while he was crossing a pedestrian crossing. The 19-year-old cyclist was killed instantly as was the passenger on the motorized two-wheeler, born in 2003. The motorcycle driver was seriously injured. The emotion is all the more heightened as the initial findings of the investigation suggest excessive speed on the motorcycle, although the expert opinion is still awaited.
